Aerial Drone Inspections
What is a Drone Roof Inspection?
Drone roof inspections are accomplished through piloting a Drone equipped with a high-resolution 4k HD camera into the air which captures images of the entire roof. This method is common with large buildings and properties with multiple buildings. The result is an incredibly detailed model of the property and its structures which clearly reveals the condition of each roof. This can be used to create accurate plans for repair and replacement. What are the benefits of using Drone technology for roof inspections?
Traditional Roof inspections are quite risky at times, from collapsing roofs to falling off ladders. This can happen due to malfunction, incorrect mounting and/or assembly. However, new technologies that rely on aerial vehicles or drones have greatly made roof inspections easier, safer, faster and less costly. Drones can minimize or completely eliminate most of the risks such as falls and collapsing roofs. In addition, sending a drone to perform inspections before climbing up, will also help to identify the defects and can access hard to reach areas. It also provides indications of faulty roofs so that the estimator will be more careful, in case there is still need to go up the roof.
